May 18-21, 1996, Monrovia, Liberia --- In April 1996, the Liberian State Council sent police-militia to arrest Prince Roosevelt Johnson on murder charges. As a result, fighting broke out in Monrovia between the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL) and ULIMO-J (mainly Khran ethnics headed by Roosevelt Johnson) fighters.
